Sulaimon Runsewe’s journey in cricket began in the sun-drenched streets of Lagos, Nigeria, where the young prodigy first picked up a bat. Born on 7th August 2001, Sulaimon's early cricketing days were nurtured in the local clubs, where his natural talent with both bat and gloves stood out. Recognised for his prowess as a wicketkeeper, he played a pivotal role in age-group tournaments and quickly became a household name in local cricket circles.

Sulaimon's dream saw him pursue cricket with relentless determination, leading to his professional debut at the age of 18 for the Lagos Knights in the Nigerian Premier League.
