Tom Banton is a talented and flamboyant cricket player hailing from England.
Known for his inventive stroke-play and likened to the likes of Kevin Pietersen and Jos Buttler, Banton caught the attention of cricket fans and franchises around the world with his remarkable performances in the 2019 domestic season.

Banton's cricketing journey began at Warwickshire's academy before he made the move to King's College, Taunton, where he completed his schooling.
It was during his time at King's College that he started to make waves in the cricketing scene.
He quickly made an impression after switching counties and represented England's Under-19 side as their captain in the 2018 World Cup, though the team's performance was disappointing.

However, it was in 2019 that Banton truly showcased his potential.
Guided by the mentorship of Marcus Trescothick, he made crucial technical adjustments to his game which contributed to his breakthrough season.
In Somerset's victorious One-Day Cup campaign, Banton scored an impressive 454 runs.
His knockouts performances were particularly memorable, with scores of 112, 59, and 69.
In the Vitality Blast, he continued to dazzle with the bat, accumulating a staggering 549 runs.
Of all his innings, his televised 52-ball 100 against Kent stood out as the highlight of the tournament.

Banton's outstanding domestic performances did not go unnoticed.
At the end of the 2019 season, he received a call-up to the England T20 squad, marking his international debut.
While the next few years proved to be challenging for Banton, with the isolation of Covid-safe tournaments affecting his form, his dedication to the sport remained unwavering.
During the winter of 2021-22, Banton focused on improving his red-ball game and achieved a significant milestone by scoring his maiden first-class hundred against Essex.

While Banton's white-ball returns remained inconsistent, his potential was acknowledged by regular selection for the England Lions team, indicating that he was still very much in England's plans.
His journey as a professional cricketer has been filled with highs and lows, but his talents and dedication have consistently shone through.

As Banton continues to develop and refine his skills, cricket fans eagerly anticipate the resurgence of his brilliance on the field.
With his remarkable stroke-play and unique shot selection, Banton has the potential to become a prominent figure in England's international cricket scene.
