Born on 18th June 1998, Vishwanath Pratap Singh emerged from the bustling streets of Chandigarh to leave an indelible mark on the world of cricket. His journey began as a nine-year-old, wielding a makeshift bat fashioned by his grandfather. What started as backyard games quickly transformed into a serious pursuit when local coaches recognised his exceptional hand-eye coordination and innate talent for batting.

During his formative years, Vishwanath honed his skills at the prestigious St. Xavier's Cricket Academy, where he was coached by veteran players who moulded his adaptable stance and taught him the subtleties of right-arm off-break bowling. Vishwanath's professional debut with Punjab in the Ranji Trophy 2017-18 season marked the beginning of a scintillating career.
