Wriddhiman Prasanta Saha, popularly known as Wriddhiman Saha, is an accomplished cricketer hailing from India.
Born on October 24, 1984, in Siliguri, West Bengal, Saha has emerged as a prominent wicketkeeper-batsman in the Indian cricket scene.
With his impressive skills and unwavering dedication, he has made a name for himself both domestically and internationally.

Saha's cricket journey began when he was included in the Bengal Ranji side in 2007, following the departure of Deep Dasgupta to the Indian Cricket League.
Eager to prove himself, Saha embraced the opportunity and exhibited his batting prowess right from the start.
In his debut Ranji match, he became the 15th Bengal player to score a century, immediately showcasing his talent and potential.

Despite scoring only one additional fifty in the remaining first-class games of the season, Saha's performance caught the attention of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise.
Consequently, he was signed up for the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008.
Saha's dedication and hard work paid off, and he managed to accumulate 318 runs in just five games during the 2009-10 Ranji season.
This exceptional performance led to his selection in the Indian Test squad for the home series against South Africa, where he made his debut as a batsman due to a last-minute injury to Rohit Sharma.

Saha's second Test appearance came in January 2012 when he filled in for MS Dhoni, who was suspended due to a slow over rate violation, during the Test match against Australia in Adelaide.
Although he showcased his batting skills in this format as well, Saha's primary role in the Indian team has been as a reserve wicketkeeper during overseas tours.

In 2014, Saha's career trajectory took a significant turn when MS Dhoni retired from Test cricket.
Finally, after being an understudy for a prolonged period, Saha had the opportunity to cement his place as the team's first-choice wicketkeeper.
With dedication, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to his craft, he proved his mettle as a reliable and technically sound wicketkeeper-batsman.

Saha's outstanding performances and consistent contributions to the Indian Test team have established him as a key asset.
His agile and sharp wicketkeeping skills, combined with his ability to bat with grit and determination, make him a valuable asset in the squad.
His remarkable presence behind the stumps and adeptness in contributing crucial runs with the bat have helped the Indian team achieve numerous victories.

Off the field, Saha is known for his humble and grounded personality.
He remains focused on his game, constantly striving for improvement.
With several cricketing accolades to his name, including being a part of the Indian team that achieved the historical Test series victory in Australia in 2020-2021, Saha continues to leave an indelible mark on Indian cricket.

Wriddhiman Saha's journey from a Ranji debutant to a trusted wicketkeeping stalwart in the Indian Test team is a testament to his remarkable talent, unwavering determination, and exceptional work ethic.
As he continues to represent his country on the international stage, his performances and contributions are revered by cricket enthusiasts worldwide.
