Yasir Khan

Yasir Khan, an extraordinary bowler hailing from Afghanistan, was born on 1st January 2000 in a small village surrounded by rugged mountains and dreams as vast as the skies above. From an early age, Yasir was mesmerised by the art of bowling, tirelessly practising with a tennis ball against the unyielding walls of his modest home.

His talent couldn’t remain hidden for long, catching the eye of scouts from the Afghanistan Cricket Board during a regional tournament when he was just 17.

Yasir’s professional debut was nothing short of meteoric. In 2019, he announced his arrival on the international stage against a formidable Indian team, captivating audiences with his remarkable ability to swing the ball both ways. His maiden five-wicket haul in this debut series set the tone for what would become a storied career.
