Amit Vinod Deshpande is a former Indian cricketer who was a right-arm medium pace bowler and a right-handed batsman. Born on October 21, 1970, in Pune, Maharashtra, Deshpande made his first-class debut for Maharashtra in 1992. He went on to play 49 first-class matches, scoring 1757 runs and taking 115 wickets. Deshpande also played 27 List A matches, scoring 174 runs and taking 31 wickets. Known for his ability to swing the ball both ways, Deshpande was a consistent performer for Maharashtra and played a key role in their domestic cricket success.
