Making his Test debut during the England tour, Reddy displayed his efficiency as a wicketkeeper, securing eleven dismissals in the series, which set a record for an Indian wicketkeeper in England. Prior to gaining international recognition, Reddy had gained valuable experience as Kirmani’s deputy during various tours. He traveled to Australia in 1977-78, Pakistan in 1978-79, and Australia and New Zealand in 1980-81, further honing his skills and learning from the best in the game.
