Chetan Sharma is a retired Indian cricketer who was known for his lethal pace bowling. Born on January 3, 1966 in Ludhiana, India, Sharma made his international debut in 1984 and went on to represent India in 23 Test matches and 65 One Day Internationals. He is best remembered for his historic hat-trick in the 1987 World Cup, becoming the first Indian to achieve this milestone in the tournament’s history. Sharma was a key player in the Indian cricket team during the late 1980s and is considered one of the finest fast bowlers to have represented his country.
