Dave Callaghan bio

David John Callaghan is a former South African cricketer who played as an all-rounder for the national team. Born on June 4, 1967 in Port Elizabeth, Callaghan made his international debut in 1992 and went on to represent South Africa in 29 One Day Internationals, scoring 296 runs and taking 17 wickets. He was known for his aggressive batting style and medium-pace bowling. Callaghan played a crucial role in South Africa’s victory in the 1995-96 Mandela Trophy Final against Australia, scoring an unbeaten 169 runs. After retiring from international cricket, he continued to be involved in the sport as a coach and commentator.
