Paththamperuma Arachchige Don Lakshan Rangika Sandakan, known as Lakshan Sandakan, is a talented left-arm wristspinner hailing from the outskirts of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Born and raised in Sri Lanka, Sandakan completed his education at De Mazenod College in Kandana. He embarked on his first-class career in 2012, representing Saracens Sports Club. Injuries to key players paved the way for his inclusion in the team, and he made his Test debut against Australia in Pallekele. Although the circumstances were unfortunate, Sandakan seized the opportunity and left a mark in his maiden international appearance.
