Marais Erasmus is a South African cricketer who has made a name for himself as both a player and an umpire in the world of cricket. As a player, Erasmus was a left-handed batsman and right-arm off-break bowler who represented Eastern Province and Border in domestic cricket. He made his first-class debut in 1998 and went on to have a successful career in the domestic circuit. After retiring from playing, Erasmus transitioned to become an umpire and is now a respected member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires.
