Michael James Powell, commonly known as Mike Powell, is a former professional cricket player from England. Born on January 15, 1978, in Ascot, Berkshire, Powell made a name for himself through his stellar performances for Warwickshire County Cricket Club.
Powell’s cricket journey began in his early years when he captained the England Under-18 team on tours to South Africa in 1992-93 and Denmark in 1993. His remarkable skills and leadership qualities caught the attention of selectors, and he went on to represent England Under-19 on their tour to Sri Lanka in 1993-94.
