However, it was during the 2007-08 season that Jamshed truly made his mark, scoring an impressive 800 runs in ten Quaid-e-Azam Trophy matches. His three centuries caught the attention of the national selectors, and he was chosen to represent the Patron’s XI side against the touring Zimbabweans. Jamshed capitalized on this opportunity, scoring a magnificent 182 runs off just 240 deliveries. His outstanding performance led to his inclusion in the 15-probables for the ODI series.
While Jamshed didn’t immediately set the international stage on fire, his performances in 2012 proved that his early promise was not unwarranted.
