Ranjit Vijay Hazare was a legendary cricketer from India, born in 1915. He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler who played 30 Test matches for India from 1946 to 1953. Hazare was known for his solid technique and scoring runs consistently for his team. He was a key player in India’s historic Test win against England at Madras in 1952, where he scored 164 runs in the first innings. Throughout his career, he scored over 2000 runs at an average of 47.65, with 5 Test centuries. Hazare’s contribution to Indian cricket will always be remembered.
