Richard Lawrence Ashton is a retired English cricketer known for his impressive bowling skills. Born on August 10, 1967, in Westhoughton, Lancashire, Ashton played as a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He made his first-class debut for Lancashire in 1986 and went on to represent the county until 1990. Ashton also played for Cumberland and Minor Counties during his cricketing career.
