Richard John Scott, born September 4, 1965, in Newcastle, England, is a retired cricketer known for his impressive career as both a batsman and a wicketkeeper. Scott made his debut for Durham in 1992 and went on to play for the team until 2002. He also represented Northumberland in minor counties cricket. Scott was a consistent performer with the bat and a reliable wicketkeeper behind the stumps. In his first-class career, he scored over 7,000 runs and claimed more than 500 dismissals. After retiring from professional cricket, Scott has worked as a coach and administrator in the sport.
