Sarfaraz Naushad Khan is an Indian cricket player who has made a name for himself at a young age. Born on October 27, 1997, in Mumbai, India, Sarfaraz has shown immense talent and potential from a very early age, making him one of the most exciting prospects in Indian cricket.

Sarfaraz first gained attention when he broke the record for the highest score in the Harris Shield inter-school tournament at the age of 12. Scoring an incredible 439 runs for Rizvi Springfield, he showcased his ability to dominate the game with 56 fours and 12 sixes. This remarkable innings put him in the spotlight and made the cricketing world take notice of his prodigious talent.

However, Sarfaraz’s journey to success was not without its challenges. He faced accusations of age fudging by the Mumbai Cricket Association and was suspended. It was only after undergoing an advanced age verification test that the board confirmed his age and allowed him to continue his cricketing career.

After an impressive season playing for the Mumbai Under-19 team, Sarfaraz caught the attention of the national selectors. He was selected to represent India in the Under-19 quadrangular series in 2013. In his very first match, Sarfaraz played a match-winning innings of 101 runs off just 66 balls against South Africa, displaying his natural flair and ability to perform under pressure.

His outstanding performances led to his inclusion in the Indian squad for the Under-19 World Cup held in the UAE in 2014. Throughout the tournament, Sarfaraz displayed his class and talent, scoring a total of 211 runs in six matches at an impressive average of 70.33. These performances not only helped India achieve success but also solidified Sarfaraz’s position as one of the brightest young talents in Indian cricket.

In 2015, Sarfaraz was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 50 lakhs, becoming the youngest player to make an appearance in the Indian Premier League (IPL). This opportunity gave him a platform to showcase his skills on a larger stage and learn from some of the best players in the world.

The following year, Sarfaraz participated in the Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh, where he emerged as the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament. Despite India’s faltering starts, Sarfaraz consistently rescued the team with his crucial contributions, amassing 355 runs from six matches.

In the 2015-16 domestic season, Sarfaraz decided to move from Mumbai to Uttar Pradesh, seeking new challenges and opportunities in his cricketing career. This move allowed him to further develop his skills and gain valuable experience by playing against different opponents and in different conditions.
