During this innings, he partnered with Mahmudullah to build a remarkable 235-run partnership, helping Bangladesh salvage some pride after New Zealand posted a mammoth total of 715.
In ODIs, Soumya played a pivotal role in Bangladesh’s historic run in 2015, where they clinched consecutive series victories against Pakistan, India, and South Africa. Throughout this golden period, Soumya displayed his batting prowess by scoring a century and three fifties, two of which were substantial contributions. His consistency with the bat was once again evident when he played a vital role in Bangladesh’s triumph in a tri-series against West Indies and Ireland in Malahide.
