Stephen Joseph Murdoch is a former New Zealand cricketer who was born on May 17, 1973 in Wellington. A right-handed batsman and occasional wicketkeeper, Murdoch made his international debut for New Zealand in 2001 against England. He played a total of 7 One Day Internationals and 7 Twenty20 Internationals for the Black Caps. Known for his solid technique and ability to score quick runs, Murdoch also represented Wellington in domestic cricket. In his career, he scored over 6,000 runs in First-class cricket at an average of 41.67. After retiring from cricket, Murdoch now works as a coach, passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of cricketers.
