Thomas Christopher Smith, commonly known as Tom Smith, is a professional cricket player hailing from England. Born on May 3, 1980, Smith is a talented all-rounder who has showcased his skills in various formats of the game. Although his career has been plagued by injuries, he has proven himself to be a resilient and competitive player.
Smith rose to prominence in the 2006 season after an impressive stint with the England Under-19 team. His performances in the Championship and C&G Trophy caught the attention of selectors, and he was soon recognized as a nagging seamer with the ability to bring the ball back into right-handers.
