Walter John Edwards, commonly known as Wally Edwards, is a former Australian cricketer who had a successful career as a right-handed batsman. Born on November 18, 1904 in New South Wales, Edwards played first-class cricket from 1926 to 1936. He represented New South Wales and later played for Australia in Test matches against England in the 1930s. Wally Edwards was known for his elegant stroke play and solid technique. Throughout his career, he scored over 3,500 runs at an average of 43.18 in first-class cricket. Edwards was a talented cricketer who made a valuable contribution to Australian cricket during his playing days.
