William Keith Donald Perkins is a former cricketer from the West Indies who made a name for himself as an aggressive right-hand opener. Born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago, Perkins displayed his cricketing skills at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks.
Perkins’ breakthrough came during the 2006 Under-19 World Cup in Sri Lanka. It was in this tournament that he played a match-winning innings of 133 runs off 150 balls, securing the Man-of-the-Match award and helping his team defeat USA. Later that year, at the age of 21, Perkins made his international Twenty20 debut for the West Indies against Australia at Kensington Oval. Although he only scored 9 runs in that match, he showed glimpses of his potential and the ability to provide his team with rousing starts.
