Al-Amin's journey to becoming a professional cricketer began when he caught the attention of Sarwar Imran, Bangladesh's renowned fast bowling guru, in 2011.
Impressed with Al-Amin's skills, Imran invited him to join a pace bowlers' camp held in the prestigious Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

With his remarkable performance in his debut first-class season for Khulna Division in the 2011-2012 campaign, Al-Amin proved that he was a force to be reckoned with.
Finishing the season with an impressive tally of 39 wickets, he showcased his talent and potential.
Although it took some time for him to be noticed, he soon caught the eye of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and earned a place in their National Cricket Academy.

Al-Amin's hard work and dedication paid off when he was selected for the Bangladesh A side.
Having consistently performed well in domestic competitions, it was only a matter of time before he was given the opportunity to shine on the international stage.

In late 2013, Al-Amin made his Test and T20 debut, making an instant impact.
He astounded everyone when he took an extraordinary five wickets in a single over during a domestic T20 game for UCB-BCB XI in Sylhet.
This impressive performance only solidified his position in the team.
While Al-Amin admits to feeling more comfortable playing T20 cricket, he has also excelled in One Day Internationals (ODIs).
In fact, he became the highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in the ODI series against the West Indies in August 2014.
