Krishmar Santokie is a talented cricket player from the West Indies who has established himself as a successful T20 bowler, both domestically and internationally. With his ability to consistently watch the batters and a variety of slower balls and yorkers in his arsenal, Santokie has become a valuable asset to his teams.

Born in the West Indies, Santokie made his List A debut for Jamaica in 2007. However, it was in T20 cricket where he truly shone. He burst onto the scene in the inaugural Caribbean T20 in 2010, where he grabbed attention by taking a five-wicket haul for Jamaica against Trinidad & Tobago. Throughout the tournament, Santokie showcased his skills by picking up 10 wickets and maintaining an impressive economy rate of 5.55.

His outstanding performances in the Caribbean T20 led to his selection for the West Indies national team in 2011, making his T20 International debut against England at the Oval. Although he only bowled three overs, Santokie was able to impress with figures of 1 for 17. Despite his promising debut, Santokie’s appearances for the national side were sporadic until he was chosen for the 2014 World T20 in Bangladesh.

The 2014 World T20 proved to be a turning point for Santokie’s international career. He had a fantastic tournament, finishing as the second highest wicket-taker for the West Indies with eight wickets and an economy rate of 6.84. However, Santokie’s opportunities in the national team were limited, and he only played two more T20 Internationals that year before being dropped from the side once again.

In 2016, Santokie made the decision to retire from international cricket to participate in the Masters Champions League, a tournament for retired cricketers. Although his time in the national team was sporadic, Santokie’s contributions to T20 cricket cannot be overlooked. He has proven himself to be a formidable bowler, capable of outsmarting batsmen with his variation and accuracy.

Off the field, Santokie is known for his calm and composed demeanor. His dedication and hard work have earned him the respect and admiration of his teammates and fans. Santokie continues to play domestic T20 cricket and has become a sought-after player in various T20 leagues around the world.
