Karun Nair is a cricketer from India who has made a name for himself in both domestic and international arenas.
Born on December 6, 1991, in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, Nair began his cricketing journey at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks to establish himself as a promising talent.

Nair's breakthrough year came in 2016 when he was handed his ODI debut against Zimbabwe.
This selection was a validation of his consistent performances in domestic cricket, where he had averaged more than 50 in his first three seasons.
It was a proud moment for Nair, who had worked hard to prove his worth at the highest level.

Later that year, Nair was appointed as the captain of the Karnataka state side, a position that further showcased his leadership skills and ability to inspire his teammates.
Under his captaincy, Karnataka performed admirably, and Nair's contributions were pivotal in their success.

In November 2016, Nair received his first Test cap against England in the Mohali Test.
This was a significant milestone in his career, and he made the most of the opportunity by scoring a magnificent triple century.
Becoming only the second Indian and the third player in the history of the game to achieve this feat, Nair cemented his place in the annals of cricketing history.

While the year 2016 brought many happy memories for Nair, it was also marred by a tragic accident.
During a temple festival in Kerala, he was involved in a boat mishap, which resulted in the loss of several lives.
Nair, despite not knowing how to swim, was miraculously rescued by local fishermen.
This incident was a reminder of the fragility of life and served as a turning point for Nair's perspective on the game.

Nair's talent was not limited to the longer format of the game.
He showcased his skills in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as well, playing for the Delhi Daredevils.
His performances justified his high price tag of INR 4 crore, as he played a pivotal role for the team at the top of the batting order.

Before his international debut, Nair had already earned recognition in domestic cricket.
He had a stellar first-class debut season in 2013-14, where he played a vital role in Karnataka's successful campaign in the Ranji and Irani Trophy.
Nair's consistent run with the bat included three consecutive centuries in the Ranji matches, including crucial innings in the quarter-finals and the semi-finals.
His winning six in the final also ended Karnataka's 15-year wait for the Ranji title.

In the following season, Nair displayed tremendous resilience by overcoming a series of low scores to produce a record-breaking triple century, helping Karnataka defend their Ranji crown.
These performances garnered attention, and he was signed by the IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals in 2014.
Playing alongside experienced players like Shane Watson, Nair established himself as a valuable asset to the team.

Nair's impressive performances for Karnataka and India A resulted in his inclusion in the Indian Test squad as a replacement for M Vijay during the tour of Sri Lanka in 2015.
Though he did not make his debut at the time, it marked an important step in his international career.

Karun Nair's journey as a professional cricketer has been one of hard work, determination, and resilience.
He has proved his mettle in domestic cricket, and his international exploits have further cemented his place in the Indian cricketing landscape.
With his immense talent and hunger for success, Nair is destined to achieve many more milestones in the years to come.
