What is your idea of happiness?
Having a loving family
What’s your ideal sandwich?
Good question. Chicken, ham, cheese, lettuce, cucumber, mayonnaise. It’s a thick sandwich. Deep-fill. I’m happy with that
Which living person do you most admire and why?
All the British soldiers who fight in wars. It’s easy to take for granted what they all do and it often goes unnoticed
What has been your biggest disappointment?
The whole of 2013 in four-day cricket, when I averaged about 12. That was a long six months
What piece of advice would you give to your 16-year-old self?
Enjoy yourself, which I have. I’d just remind myself: enjoy your cricket and enjoy your life
If you were an animal, what would you be?
I quite like the idea of being a cat. They’re lazy and get made a fuss out of; they sleep, go outside to the toilet, chase a few birds around and then do the same again. Brilliant!

I’d have to find some friends first… Will Ferrell, Jos [Buttler] and Tupac. That is a random fourball!
Whose windows would you most like to smash?
I’d quite enjoy smashing Stokesy’s windows, just because of how funny he is to wind up
What song would you have playing when walking out to bat?
Don’t You Worry Child by Swedish House Mafia. Gets me up
Who would you like to play you in a film of your life?
Luke Fletcher. Didn’t even have to think about that
If you could be one other cricketer for a day, who would you be?
AB de Villiers. He’s incredible at every other sport as well so I’d probably go and play a round of golf and shoot one under par. Freak
What’s your ultimate pet hate?
People driving in the middle lane of the motorway when there’s nobody in the left-hand lane. That really p***es me off
What was the first record you bought?
I didn’t buy it, I found it in the loft at my house, it was NWA: Greatest Hits. For some reason my mum and dad had that album. I was only 10 – and there are a few swear words on it – and when they heard me blaring that out in my room they weren’t too happy
