BBL and WBBL 2025-26 Team Announcements

The buildup to the 2025-26 seasons of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) and the Big Bash League (BBL) is well underway. Both leagues are seeing a flurry of activity as teams finalise their squads. Players are moving, overseas stars are being signed, and fans eagerly await to see how the teams will shape up.

Clubs in both competitions are allowed to secure one overseas player prior to the draft on 20 June. The WBBL teams will consist of 15 players each, while BBL sides can have up to 18.

Adelaide Strikers

Men’s Team: Key changes include the addition of Jason Sangha with departures like Brendan Doggett to the Renegades. The squad features familiar names such as Cameron Boyce and Alex Carey.

Women’s Team: Laura Wolvaardt of South Africa joins, while Katie Mack has moved to the Scorchers.

Men’s Team: Jake Weatherald and Beau Webster are notable inclusions. Caleb Jewell has transferred to the Renegades.

Women’s Team: Consistent performers like Ruth Johnston and Lizelle Lee remain key.

Melbourne Renegades

Men’s Team: The Renegades have strengthened their squad with signings including Jason Behrendorff and Caleb Jewell.

Women’s Team: Tess Flintoff joins the side, whereas Ella Hayward and Georgia Prestwidge have moved on to the Stars.

Melbourne Stars

Men’s Team: Liam Hatcher and Mitchell Swepson are new additions. However, Beau Webster has left the team.

Perth Scorchers
